NogginFest 2022 w/AMP

Making Sonic Brains!

I partnered with AMP for NogginFest 2022 in Portland, Oregon for a pop-up water cymatics installation. For the event I 3d printed a dish in the shape of a brain and then participants played an ode to their brain via synth and voice to create waveforms in the water that resembled a cortex. Videos were recorded and uploaded to a Google drive folder where participants could download their video or peruse others.

Northwest Noggin is a robust, creative, that brings together scientists and artists and students of all ages to contribute their expertise, listen and learn from others, enthuse young people about science and art, share area educational resources and inform and excite the public about ongoing, taxpayer supported neuroscience research.

The Artist Mentorship Program (AMP) is a Portland based non-profit that provides a creative space for homeless youth to build healthy relationship-centered communities through music and art activities. At AMP we believe that youth experiencing homelessness are resilient, creative and deserving of a dynamic support system that will nurture an environment where they can heal from trauma.
